MEET THE TEAM
Sarah “Sally” deVincentis CEO of APTE, Inc. An active and vibrant grandmother of two, Sally deVincentis, is a rarity - a successful woman entrepreneur in the competitive software business. The wisdom she gained while building APTE, a cutting-edge technology company she co-founded in 1990, has been poured into APTE’s new photo games greeting site, www.schmixer.com. As APTE’s CEO, she has assembled a diverse, talented and devoted staff to develop this site, as well as award-winning educational software, books, web applications, and technology training in the private and public sectors, including the Executive Office of President Clinton.
This successful entrepreneur began her career 30 years ago as a teacher. Sally saw the need for support for families with disabled children, and established the first Lekotek center in 1980. Over the next decade, she helped build a national network of Lekoteks and play libraries throughout the U.S.A. As a passionate advocate for children, she testified before the Senate, published articles, lectured, and worked tirelessly on their behalf all over the world. Her belief that computers provide profound opportunities for all children to play and learn, led her to start her company. Schmixer.com is a dream realized. Sally gets tremendous satisfaction from knowing she is part of something new and exciting that brings out the kid in everyone.
